🌟 Traditional fantasy ✒
If I were a king, if I were a bird, if I were so and so, these are the traditional desires of the human mind.
The Arabian nights describes a common man becoming king for a few days.
In recent Bollywood movies or Tollywood movies, there is a story of being the home minister for a few days and cracking down on criminals.
Even an illiterate village girl, who has no knowledge of cinema, no knowledge of literature. She also indulged in fantasy thoughts and thought, “If I were a bird, I would fly from tree to tree and eat mangoes, jams, and dates.”
This is how fantasy has traditionally prevailed in the human mind.
🌟 Ministry of Fantasy ✒
Similarly, the ministry also has a fantasy. Some aspire to be a minister at a young age, some in middle age, and some in old age.
🌟 My Ministry Fantasy ✒
From my childhood, I studied various cts as well as politics.
And I used to get description of politics in different stories.
But my ministry fantasy began in 2008. I was studying Bengali literature in my first year at Anandamohan College, Mymensingh.
At that time, Dr. Fakhruddin's caretaker government was ruling. Dr. Fakhruddin started torturing people in the name of reforming the state without holding fair elections.
Even before this there were anti-state activities of Bangla Bhai, Shaikh Abdur Rahman, JMB, Mufti Hannan etc.
So in that situation, I thought, if I were the Home Minister, how would I suppress militancy? Or how to suppress common crimes. Or I would have organized a fair election with Dr. Fakhruddin instead of arresting people.
That is the beginning. I had a fantasy of becoming Home Minister till 2010. I haven't had that fantasy since.
🌟 That's why there is no fantasy ✒
There are many reasons for this. For example:-
1) Realization :- I realized that I am too young to be a minister. So, it is almost impossible to become a reality. Even absolutely impossible.
2) Political successor :- I am basically a man of a non-political family. None of my father, paternal grandfather or their grandfathers involved in politics. So in a country like Bangladesh with a political family legacy, the dream of becoming a minister of the man of a political family like me is nothing but a fantasy?
3) Literary practice :- Literary practice is the main reason why the fantasy of ministry has gone away from me. To become a minister, one must do politics in Bangladesh. And if you want to do politics, it will not be possible to practice literature properly. I understood that immediately. It is possible to practice literature by doing private employment or by doing shop keeping or doing agricultural work. But it is very difficult to practice literature with politics. And in a densely populated and highly competitive country like Bangladesh, it is more difficult. So due to college studies, personal literary practice and being busy with various family activities, the fantasy of the ministry itself went away from me.

🌟 চিরাচরিত ফ্যান্টাসি ✒
আমি যদি রাজা হতাম, আমি যদি পাখি হতাম, আমি যদি অমুক হতাম, আমি যদি তমুক হতাম, এগুলো হচ্ছে মানব মনের চিরাচরিত আকাঙ্ক্ষা।
আরব্য রজনীতে বর্ণিত আছে কয়েকদিনের জন্য অতি সাধারণ ব্যক্তির রাজা হওয়ার বর্ণনা।
সাম্প্রতিককালের বলিউডের সিনেমা অথবা টলিউডের সিনেমায় আছে কয়েকদিনের জন্য স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রী হয়ে অপরাধীদেরকে ফাটিয়ে দেওয়ার কাহিনি।
এমনকি গ্রামের অশিক্ষিত এক বালিকা, যার না আছে সিনেমার জ্ঞান, না আছে সাহিত্যের জ্ঞান। সেও ফ্যান্টাসির চিন্তায় মগ্ন হয়ে চিন্তা করে,”আমি যদি পাখি হতাম, তাহলে গাছে গাছে উড়ে আম, জাম, খেজুর প্রভৃতি খেতাম।”
এভাবেই ফ্যান্টাসি মানব মনে চিরাচরিতভাবে বিরাজ করছে।
🌟 মন্ত্রিত্বের ফ্যান্টাসি ✒
তেমনি মন্ত্রিত্বেরও ফ্যান্টাসি আছে। কেউ অল্প বয়সে, কেউ মধ্য বয়সে আবার কেউ বৃদ্ধ বয়সে মন্ত্রী হওয়ার আকাঙ্ক্ষা পোষণ করেন।
🌟 আমার মন্ত্রিত্বের ফ্যান্টাসি ✒
ছোটবেলা থেকেই বিভিন্ন বিষয়ের পাশাপাশি রাজনীতি বিষয়েও পড়াশোনা করতাম।
এবং বিভিন্ন কাহিনিতেও রাজনীতির বর্ণনা পেতাম।
কিন্তু আমার মন্ত্রিত্বের ফ্যান্টাসিটা শুরু হয়েছিল ২০০৮ সালে। আমি তখন ময়মনসিংহের আনন্দমোহন কলেজে বাংলা সাহিত্যে প্রথম বর্ষে পড়াশোনা করি।
সেই সময়ে চলছিল ডক্টর ফখরুদ্দিনের তত্ত্বাবধায়ক সরকারের শাসন। ডক্টর ফখরুদ্দিন সুষ্ঠু নির্বাচন না করে রাষ্ট্র সংস্কারের নামে শুরু করলেন মানুষকে অত্যাচার।
এরও আগে বাংলা ভাই, শায়খ আব্দুর রহমান, জেএমবি, মুফতি হান্নান প্রভৃতিদের রাষ্ট্রবিরোধী অপতৎপরতা তো ছিলই।
তাই উক্ত পরিস্থিতিতে আমি চিন্তা করতাম, আমি যদি স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী হতাম, তাহলে কীভাবে জঙ্গিবাদ দমন করতাম? অথবা কীভাবে সাধারণ অপরাধ দমন করতাম। অথবা মানুষকে গ্রেফতার না করে ডঃ ফখরুদ্দীনকে দিয়ে একটা সুষ্ঠু নির্বাচন আয়োজন করাতাম।
সেই হলো শুরু। আমার মধ্যে স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী হওয়ার ফ্যান্টাসিটা ছিল ২০১০ সাল পর্যন্ত। এরপর থেকে সেই ফ্যান্টাসিটা আমার মধ্যে নাই।
🌟 যে কারণে ফ্যান্টাসিটা নাই ✒
এর অনেকগুলো কারণ আছে। যেমন:-
১) উপলব্ধি :- আমি উপলব্ধি করতে পেরেছিলাম, মন্ত্রী হওয়ার জন্য আমার বয়সটা খুবই কম। তাই এটা বাস্তবে পরিণত হওয়া প্রায় অসম্ভব। এমনকি একেবারেই অসম্ভব।
২) রাজনৈতিক উত্তরসূরি :- আমি মূলত একটি অরাজনৈতিক পরিবারের সন্তান। আমার বাপ-দাদা, দাদার দাদা, এমনকি জানামতে ঊর্ধ্বতন আরো কয়েক পুরুষ পর্যন্ত কেউই রাজনীতির সঙ্গে জড়িত ছিলেন না। তাই বাংলাদেশের মতো রাজনৈতিক পারিবারিক উত্তরাধিকার সম্পন্ন দেশে আমার মতো রাজনৈতিক পরিবারের সন্তানের মন্ত্রী হওয়ার স্বপ্নটা ফ্যান্টাসি ছাড়া আর কী?
৩) সাহিত্যচর্চা :- আমার মধ্য থেকে মন্ত্রিত্বের ফ্যান্টাসি চলে যাওয়ার সর্বপ্রধান কারণ হচ্ছে সাহিত্যচর্চা। মন্ত্রী হতে হলে বাংলাদেশে অবশ্যই রাজনীতি করতে হবে। আর রাজনীতি করতে গেলে সাহিত্যচর্চা যথাযথভাবে করা সম্ভব হবে না। সেটা আমি তখনই বুঝতে পেরেছিলাম। বেসরকারি চাকরি করে অথবা দোকানদারি করে অথবা কৃষি কাজ করে সাহিত্যচর্চা করা সম্ভব। কিন্তু রাজনীতি করে সাহিত্যচর্চা করা অত্যন্ত কঠিন। আর বাংলাদেশের মতো ঘনবসতিপূর্ণ ও চরম রাজনৈতিক প্রতিযোগিতা সম্পন্ন দেশে তো আরো কঠিন। তাই কলেজের পড়াশুনা, ব্যক্তিগত সাহিত্যচর্চা আর পরিবারের বিভিন্ন কাজে ব্যস্ত থাকার কারণে আমার মধ্য থেকে মন্ত্রিত্বের ফ্যান্টাসি নিজেই চলে গিয়েছিল।
