Democracy works on human rights. 

People around the world are becoming aware of their rights over time. 

Likewise, people of every country know that the state has equal rights in the formation and management of the state. 

Therefore, through studying, people are learning that in a democratic country (not speaking of the monarchy), the rulers and ruled all have equal rights to form and manage the state. 

In many democratic countries in the modern age, news of the fall of dictatorship is spreading through the accessible Internet all over the world. 

So the people of the world are becoming more aware of democracy. 

The Last Prophet Muhammad Bin Abdullah ﷺ Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam https://g.co/kgs/JZKHrY is the main founder of democracy.

We and all kinds of people in the world must know that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the last, latest, and greatest prophet of the universe.

He ﷺ was sent by Allah to deliver the Al-Quran (the words of Allah) to the world.

It is also true that the Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah ﷺ was not a philosopher, poet, or educated person from any academy.

He ﷺ was not sent to engage in politics or to beautify Makkah or Madinah with donations from Hajj.

He ﷺ was sent by Allah to guide the people of the world to Allah.

This is why there is a need for democracy in the world.

Otherwise, politics is a common subject in human societies. This is why the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ treated politics as an optional subject by the inspiration of Allah. 

Only through democracy can the people of the world gain their rights.

Only through democracy can the people of the world gain their authority.

This is why he ﷺ built up democracy during the last Hajj.

However, in the modern age (after 1800), many power-hungry generals wanted to seize government power by force and prevent democracy to protect their family wealth.

But they could not fulfill their illegal wishes.

They were removed by the democratic process.

Mr. Saddam Hussein wanted to capture the Iraqi government as his family wealth, but he was ultimately removed from Iraq.

গণতন্ত্র মানুষের অধিকার নিয়ে কাজ করে। 

সময়ের সাথে তাল মিলিয়ে সারা বিশ্বের মানুষ নিজেদের অধিকার সম্পর্কে সচেতন হচ্ছেন। 

তেমনি প্রত্যেক দেশের মানুষ জানতে পারছেন যে, রাষ্ট্র গঠন ও পরিচালনায় আছে সকলের সমান অধিকার।

তাই পড়াশোনার মাধ্যমে মানুষ জানতে পারছেন যে, গণতান্ত্রিক দেশে (রাজতান্ত্রিক দেশের কথা বলা হচ্ছে না) শাসক আর শাসিত সকলেরই সমান অধিকার আছে রাষ্ট্র গঠন ও পরিচালনার।

আধুনিক যুগে অনেক গণতান্ত্রিক দেশে স্বৈরতন্ত্রের পতনের খবর ছড়িয়ে যাচ্ছে সারা বিশ্বে সুলভ ইন্টারনেটের মাধ্যমে।

তাই বিশ্বের মানুষ আরো সচেতন হচ্ছেন গণতন্ত্রের ব্যাপারে। 

সর্বপ্রথম হযরত মুহাম্মাদ (সা.) মানুষের অধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছিলেন।

বিদায় হজ্বের ভাষণে তিনি (সা.) সুস্পষ্ট ভাষায় মানুষের ভেদাভেদ প্রত্যাখ্যান করেছেন। 

পরবর্তীতে আব্রাহাম লিঙ্কন, ফ্রাঙ্কলিন ডি. রুজভেল্ট, স্যার উইনস্টন চার্চিল, ব্যারিস্টার মুহাম্মাদ আলি জিন্নাহ্, শ্রী মোহন দাস করমচাঁদ গান্ধি...বিভিন্নভাবে গণতন্ত্রের উন্নতি করেন। 

কিন্তু আধুনিক যুগে কিছু দেশে কতিপয় বিপথগামি সেনা কর্মকর্তা রাষ্ট্রীয় ক্ষমতা দখল করে নিজেদের সম্পত্তিতে পরিণত করতে চেয়েছিলেন - কিন্তু জনগণের তীব্র আন্দোলনে তাঁদেরকে রাষ্ট্রক্ষমতা ছাড়তে হয়েছিলো। 

সাদ্দাম হোসেন সামরিক শক্তি দিয়ে ইরাকের ক্ষমতা দখল করে রেখেছিলেন - কিন্তু তীব্র গণ আন্দোলনে তাঁকে ক্ষমতা ছাড়তে হয়েছিলো। 

তেমনি, আইয়ুব খান, ইয়াহিয়া খান, কর্নেল গাদ্দাফি, জেনারেল সুহার্তো...কেও রাষ্ট্রক্ষমতা ছাড়তে হয়েছিলো। 

তেমনি, অদূর ভবিষ্যতে পৃথিবীর সব দেশ জনগণের অধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠার মাধ্যমে গণতান্ত্রিক দেশে পরিণত হবে - ইনশাআল্লাহ্।
