“Deadly courage never applies to all situations.”
To whom it applies.
Deadly courage is the highest level of courage.
Simply put, between death and power lies the deadly courage.
There is deadly courage, there is life_there is no power, there is death.
Yes, no one knows when someone dies.
But externally, there is a strong possibility of death due to some factors.
If a person stands in front of a moving train, there is a strong possibility of death. As long as the concerned person does not move from the front of the moving train, there is a strong possibility of his death.
Similarly, without the deadly courage, power cannot be maintained consistently_and if power is lost, there is a high possibility of being killed by the opponent.
This happens when a person or group takes a monopoly of power.
On the other hand, when the opponent becomes desperate for revenge.
Deprived of power, the adversary seethes with rage_violence and vindictiveness.
Relinquishing power in such circumstances is almost certain to doom oneself.
Joseph Stalin, Mao Ze Dong, Enver Hoxha… were in such situations.
Basically, having reached a stage of power, they were forced to retain power.
And currently, Syrian President Bashar
Al-Assad is in this situation.
To whom it does not apply.
But there are many people for whom the deadly courage never applies.
Those who did politics but never cornered their opponents.
That's why they never had to live fearing death even if they lost their power.
For example:- Sir Winston Churchill, Manmohan Singh, Barack Obama, Donald Trump and many more.
There are many others who have expressed their views on politics, written and participated in social and non-partisan political awareness activities.
EG:- Rabindranath Tagore was never active in the anti-British movement.
Although he wrote a lot on the political issues of the time, he never became active against the British government. In protest at the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, he rejected the knighthood conferred by the British government.
Even the political greats of the time like Mahatma Gandhi-Pandit Nehru came and met Ravi Tagore.
Despite all this, Ravi Tagore never had to deadly courage.
Similarly, people like Rudyard Kipling, Bertrand Russell, George Barnard Shaw and others never had to dare deadly courage despite being socially active in politics.
I am far from deadly courage.
I have never done anything in my life to dare deadly courage.
Likewise, I have never been associated with any anti-state activities or organizations.
Or the Democratic Party did not go to about deadly courage.
Nor have I been the companion of any man who survives by deadly courage.
I write and live like a common people of Bangladesh.

“মরণ সাহস কখনই সকল ক্ষেত্রে প্রযোজ্য না।”
যিনিদের ক্ষেত্রে প্রযোজ্য।
মরণ সাহস একেবারে উচ্চ পর্যায়ের সাহস।
সহজ কথায় বললে, মৃত্যু আর ক্ষমতার মাঝ বরাবর থাকে মরণ সাহস।
মরণ সাহস থাকলে ক্ষমতা_না থাকলে মৃত্যু।
হ্যাঁ, কখন কার মৃত্যু হয়_সেটা কেউই জানে না।
তবে বাহ্যিকভাবে কিছু বিষয়ের কারণে মৃত্যুর প্রবল সম্ভাবনা থাকে।
চলন্ত ট্রেনের সামনে কোন লোক দাঁড়িয়ে থাকলে মৃত্যুর একটা প্রবল সম্ভাবনা থাকে।যতক্ষণ চলন্ত ট্রেনের সামনে থেকে সংশ্লিষ্ট লোক না সরবে_ততক্ষণ ওর মৃত্যুর প্রবল সম্ভাবনা থাকবে।
তেমনি মরণ সাহস না থাকলে ধারাবাহিকভাবে ক্ষমতা ধরে রাখা যায় না_এবং ক্ষমতা গেলে প্রতিপক্ষের দ্বারা নিহত হওয়ারও প্রবল সম্ভাবনা থাকে।
এরকমটা হয় তখন,যখন কোন ব্যক্তি অথবা দল একচেটিয়াভাবে ক্ষমতা ভোগ করে।
অন্যদিকে যখন প্রতিপক্ষ প্রতিশোধ নেয়ার জন্য মরিয়া হয়ে উঠে।
ক্ষমতা থেকে দূরে থাকতে থাকতে প্রতিপক্ষ ক্ষোভ_প্রতিহিংসা আর প্রতিশোধ পরায়ণতার দ্বারা ফোঁসতে থাকে।
এরকম পরিস্থিতিতে ক্ষমতা ত্যাগ করা মানে প্রায় নিশ্চিতভাবে নিজেকে মৃত্যুর মধ্যে ফেলে দেয়া।
জোসেফ স্ট্যালিন, মাও সে তুং,এনভার হক্সা প্রমুখ ছিলেন এরকম পরিস্থিতে।
মূলত ক্ষমতার একটা পর্যায়ে এসে তিনিরা বাধ্য হয়েছিলেন ক্ষমতা ধরে রাখার জন্য।
এবং বর্তমানে এই পরিস্থিতে আছেন সিরিয়ার প্রেসিডেন্ট বাশার আল আসাদ।
যিনিদের ক্ষেত্রে প্রযোজ্য না।
কিন্তু অনেক মানুষ আছেন,যিনিদের জন্য কখনই মরণ সাহস প্রযোজ্য না।
যিনিরা রাজনীতি করলেও প্রতিপক্ষকে কখনই কোণঠাসা করে রাখেন নি।
যে কারণে ক্ষমতা গেলেও তিনিদেরকে কখনই মৃত্যুর ভয়ে তটস্থ থাকতে হয়নি।
যেমন:- স্যার উইনস্টন চার্চিল, মনমোহন সিং,বারাক ওবামা,ডোনাল্ড ট্রাম্পসহ আরো অনেকেই।
আবার অনেকেই আছেন,যিনিরি রাজনীতি বিষয়ে মতামত প্রদান করেছেন, লেখালেখি করছেন এবং সামাজিকভাবে ও নির্দলীয়ভাবে রাজনৈতিক সচেতনতামূলক কার্যক্রমে অংশ গ্রহণ করেছেন।
যেমন:- কখনই ব্রিটিশ বিরোধী আন্দোলনে রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর সক্রিয় ছিলেন না।
অথচ তিনি তৎকালীন রাজনৈতিক বিষয়ে অনেক লেখালেখি করেছেন_ব্রিটিশ সরকারের বিরুদ্ধে কখনই সক্রিয় হননি। জালিয়ানওয়ালাবাগের হত্যাকাণ্ডের প্রতিবাদে তিনি ব্রিটিশ সরকার কর্তৃক দেয়া নাইটহুড স্যার উপাধি বর্জন করেছিলেন।
এমনকি মহাত্মা গান্ধি_পন্ডিত নেহেরুর মতো তৎকালীন রাজনৈতিক মহারথীরা এসে রবি ঠাকুরের সাথে সাক্ষাৎ করেছিলেন।
এতো কিছুর পরেও রবি ঠাকুরকে কখনই মরণ সাহস অবলম্বন করতে হয়নি।
তেমনি রুডয়ার্ড কিপলিং, বার্ট্রান্ড রাসেল,জর্জ বানার্ড শ প্রমুখ ব্যক্তিগণ রাজনীতিতে সামাজিকভাবে সক্রিয় থাকা সত্ত্বেও কখনই মরণ সাহস অবলম্বন করতে হয়নি।
আমি অনেক দূরে মরণ সাহস থেকে।
মরণ সাহস অবলম্বন করার মতো কোন কাজ আমার জীবনে আমি করি নি।
রাষ্ট্রবিরোধী কোন কাজ অথবা সংগঠনের সাথে আমি কখনো জড়াইনি।
অথবা গণতান্ত্রিক দল করে মরণ সাহসের অবস্থায় যাইনি।
অথবা মরণ সাহসের মাধ্যমে টিকে আছেন_এমন কোন ব্যক্তির সহচরও হইনি।
আমি লেখালেখি করি এবং বাংলাদেশের সাধারন জনগনের মতো জীবন যাপন করি।
