“ভোটের অধিকার যেমন বিরোধী দলের জন্য আছে,তেমনি সরকারি দলের জন্যও আছে।”
সুষ্ঠু নির্বাচনের প্রক্রিয়ায় ভোট দিয়ে বিরোধী দলকে ক্ষমতা বসানো যেরকম গণতান্ত্রিক অধিকার,তেমনি ভোটের মাধ্যমে সরকারি দলকে ধারাবাহিকভাবে ক্ষমতায় রাখাও গণতান্ত্রিক অধিকার।

প্রত্যেক গণতান্ত্রিক দেশে ভোটের অধিকার থাকতেই হবে।
কেননা,ভোটের অধিকার না থাকলে গণতন্ত্র সঠিকভাবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হতে পারে না।

জনসাধারণের মধ্যে একটা ধারণা প্রচলিত আছে যে,ভোটের অধিকার থাকলে, সরকার পরিবর্তন করে আরেক দলকে ক্ষমতায় বসানো যায়।
হ্যাঁ,এটা একেবারে সত্য কথা।
আর এটাও সত্য কথা যে, ভোটের অধিকার থাকলে নিজের পছন্দ মতো দলকে সরকারি ক্ষমতায় বসানো যায়।
এরই ধারাবাহিকতায় চলমান সরকারকেও ক্ষমতায় বসানো যায়।
কেননা,ভোটের অধিকার মানেই নিজের ভোট পছন্দ মতো দল ও প্রার্থীকে প্রদান করার অবাধ ও সুষ্ঠু প্রক্রিয়া।
