🌟 Means of public service ✒ 

Public service can be done in many ways, among which the main means of public service is politics.

Because the kind of public service that can be done through politics, public service cannot be done through any medium.

But to do politics, you have to face more or less disaster and compulsorily play the game of politics.

By doing all this, politics has to be done for the welfare of the people. But no matter how much service is done to the people, there is no guarantee that the people will express their gratitude.

🌟 No ruler could earn the full gratitude of the people ✒ 

Whether autocratic or democratic or monarchical, whoever the ruler is, he eventually does some good to his people.

Hitler, the world's notorious ruler, also worked for the people of Germany.

He fought to make the German nation the best nation in the world. Various countries have been occupied. But the people of Germany consider him an autocrat and a notorious ruler.

Italy's Mussolini wanted to do the same. However he was killed by the Italian people.

In no country do the people express their full gratitude to any ruler.

The opposition finds out the faults of the ruler. However those who are ordinary people. Although they also cannot express gratitude for the situation.

Although the ruler has good qualities, people do not or cannot express gratitude to the ruler of the common past for fear of another ruler later on.

Therefore, if you do politics, you have to do it to serve the people, but you should not expect the gratitude of the people.

🌟 So, what's the benefit? ✒ 

Yes, what's the benefit of doing politics for public service? That's a big question.

The facilities, salaries, and allowances that will be available while doing public service, this is the benefit. 

A minister, he will serve the people in matters related to his ministry. But don't sit in the hope of people's gratitude.

Rather, he will be satisfied with the salary, allowances, facilities and publicity he will earn while being a minister. Yes, if there is a chance to take a little more, then he can try it in his responsibility.

For example, if there is a budget for the minister, then one liter of Coca-Cola. Then he can eat two liters of Coca-Cola on his responsibility.

If there is a provision of three meals in the ministry, then he can eat five times on his responsibility. Public welfare will not be hampered. If he eats like this, there will be no shortage of people's budget. 

But if money is smuggled abroad by looting, it can be a shortage for the service of the people. 

Yes, if you can manage money by laundering money on your risk, then it is also your matter.

Don't expect people's gratitude. You will get benefits from the government when you are in power. Or you will get benefits from the party while doing politics. And the benefit that you can gain on your own is your achievement.

🌟 So, why do you do politics? ✒ 

Because you do politics, you have made politics the goal of your life. You have made public service your goal, so you have to do politics.

The sun rises east. This is the universal truth. Does the sun turn on its axis, or does the sun revolve around the earth?

And in politics and public service, you got involved in the game of politics. So, what do you do again? So, you have to do politics.

“জনগণের কৃতজ্ঞতার আশায় কখনই জনসেবা করা উচিত না।”

🌟 জনসেবার মাধ্যম ✒ 

জনসেবা বিভিন্নভাবে করা যায়, এর মধ্যে জনসেবার প্রধান মাধ্যম হচ্ছে রাজনীতি।

কেননা রাজনীতির মাধ্যমে যেরকম জনসেবা করা যায়, সেরকম জনসেবা কোন মাধ্যমেই করা যায় না।

কিন্তু রাজনীতি করতে হলে কমবেশি বিপর্যয়ের সম্মুখীন হতে হয় এবং বাধ্যতামূলকভাবে রাজনীতির খেলা খেলতে হয়।

এসব কিছু করেই জনগণের কল্যাণের জন্য রাজনীতি করতে হয়। কিন্তু জনগণের যত সেবা করা হোক না কেন, জনগণ কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করবে, এর কোন নিশ্চয়তা নাই।

🌟 কোন শাসকই জনগণের সম্পূর্ণ কৃতজ্ঞতা অর্জন করতে পারেন নি ✒ 

স্বৈরাচার অথবা গণতান্ত্রিক অথবা রাজতান্ত্রিক, যে শাসকই হোন না কেন, তিনি অবশেষে নিজের মানুষের কিছু না কিছু কল্যাণ করেন।

পৃথিবীর কুখ্যাত শাসক হিটলারও জার্মানির জনগণের জন্য কাজ করেছে।

জার্মান জাতিকে সে পৃথিবীর শ্রেষ্ঠ জাতিতে পরিণত করার জন্য যুদ্ধ করেছে। বিভিন্ন দেশ দখল করেছে। কিন্তু জার্মানির মানুষই তাকে স্বৈরাচার এবং কুখ্যাত শাসক হিসেবে বিবেচনা করে।

ইতালির মুসোলিনিও এরকম করতে চেয়েছিল। কিন্তু তাকে ইতালির মানুষই হত্যা করেছে।

কোন দেশেই কোন শাসকের প্রতি জনগণ সম্পূর্ণ কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করে না।

বিরোধীদল তো খুঁজে খুঁজে শাসকের দোষগুলোই বের করে। কিন্তু যিনিরা সাধারণ জনগণ।তিনিরাও কিন্তু পরিস্থিতির কারণে কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করতে পারেন না।

শাসকের ভালো গুণ থাকলেও পরবর্তীতে অন্য শাসকের ভয়ে সাধারণ অতীতের শাসকের প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করে না অথবা করতে পারে না।

তাই রাজনীতি করলে জনগণের সেবার জন্যই করতে হবে, কিন্তু জনগণের কৃতজ্ঞতার আশা করা উচিত হবে না।

🌟 তাহলে কী লাভ? ✒ 

হ্যাঁ, জনসেবার জন্য রাজনীতি করে তাহলে কী লাভ? এটা একটা বিরাট প্রশ্ন।

জনসেবা করার সময় যে সুযোগ-সুবিধা, বেতন-ভাতা পাওয়া যাবে, এটাই হচ্ছে লাভ।

একজন মন্ত্রী, তিনি নিজের মন্ত্রণালয় সংশ্লিষ্ট বিষয়ে জনগণের সেবা করবেন। কিন্তু জনগণের কৃতজ্ঞতার আশায় বসে থাকবেন না।

এর চেয়ে তিনি মন্ত্রী থাকা অবস্থায় যে বেতন-ভাতা, সুযোগ-সুবিধা ও পাবলিসিটি অর্জন করবেন, সেটা নিয়েই সন্তুষ্ট থাকবেন। হ্যাঁ, যদি সুযোগ থাকে একটু বেশি নেয়ার, তাহলে নিজ দায়িত্বে সেটাও চেষ্টা করতে পারেন।

যেমন:- মন্ত্রীর জন্য যদি বাজেট থাকে এক লিটার কোকাকোলা। তাহলে তিনি নিজ দায়িত্বে দুই লিটার কোকাকোলা খাইতে পারেন।

যদি মন্ত্রণালয়ে তিন বেলা খাওয়ার ব্যবস্থা থাকে, তাহলে নিজ দায়িত্বে পাঁচ বেলাও খাইতে পারেন। তাতে জনকল্যাণ বাধাগ্রস্থ হবে না। এভাবে খাইলে জনগণের বাজেটের কোন ঘাটতিও হবে না।

কিন্তু লুটপাট করে বিদেশে টাকা পাচার করলে সেটা জনগণের সেবার জন্য ঘাটতি হতে পারে। 

হ্যাঁ, যদি নিজ দায়িত্বে টাকা পাচার করে সামলে নিতে পারেন, তাহলে সেটাও তিনির একান্তই নিজের ব্যাপার।

অর্থাৎ জনগণের কৃতজ্ঞতার আশা করবেন না। আপনি ক্ষমতায় থাকা অবস্থায় সরকার থেকে সুযোগ-সুবিধা পাবেন।অথবা রাজনীতি করা অবস্থায় দল থেকে সুযোগ-সুবিধা পাবেন। এবং নিজে থেকে যে সুবিধা অর্জন করতে পারবেন, সেটাই হচ্ছে আপনার প্রাপ্তি।

🌟 তাহলে রাজনীতি কেন করবেন? ✒ 

কারণ আপনি রাজনীতি করবেন, আপনি রাজনীতিকে নিজের জীবনের লক্ষ্য বানিয়েছেন। জনসেবাকে নিজের লক্ষ্য বানিয়েছেন, তাই আপনাকে রাজনীতিই করতে হবে

সূর্য পূর্ব উদিত হয়। এটা হচ্ছে চিরন্তন সত্য। সূর্য নিজের অক্ষের উপর ঘুরে, নাকি পৃথিবীর চতুর্দিকে সূর্য ঘুরে, নাকি এই সৌর জগৎ মিল্কিওয়ে গ্যালাক্সির চতুর্দিকে ঘুরে? এসব হচ্ছে প্রাসঙ্গিক কথা। কিন্তু মূল কথা একটাই, দিনের শুরুতে সূর্য পূর্ব দিকে উদিত হয়।

তেমনি আপনি যত যুক্তি প্রদান করেন না কেন, অবশেষে মূলকথা কিন্তু একটাই, আপনি রাজনীতিকে জীবনের লক্ষ্য বানিয়েছেন, জনসেবাকে জীবনের লক্ষ্য বানিয়েছেন।তাই এটাই আপনাকে করতে হবে।

আর রাজনীতি ও জনসেবা করতে গিয়ে রাজনীতির খেলায় জড়িয়েছেন। তাই নতুন করে কী করবেন? অতএব আপনাকে রাজনীতি করতেই হবে।

আর সেবা করতে গিয়ে যে সুবিধাটা আপনি পাবেন, সেটাই আপনার প্রাপ্তি। জনগণের কৃতজ্ঞতার আশা, সেটা তো সোনার হরিণের চেয়েও দুর্লভ। ©️All Right Reserved by Junayed Ashrafur Rahman
