 It is very difficult to maintain the balance of reputation and power at the same time.

 Because when power is retained, those who are deprived of power continue to slander in the name of the powerful person.

That is more complicated when it comes to state power. Because everyone thinks that the state has its own share in power.

 So if the leader of one party retains power then the leaders of other parties are deprived of power and continue to slander that leader.

 Because then the opposition has nothing to do but slander the state power.

Even if a person takes possession of the inherited property, the other partners do not hesitate to slander him in his name.

 Because the other partners think that the partner did not allow them to enjoy the benefits. Although it is an unjust whim.

And the issue of state power is more complicated. If a person, that is, a party leader, holds power in any way, then others think that he has forcibly deprived the people of their rights.

 Then it is very difficult to gain or maintain a reputation.

In such a situation, it is never safe to give up power and seek fame.

 Because once the power is given up, even if there is a reputation, it is of no use.

 Now, if anyone thinks that if he gives up his power, he will have a reputation at home and abroad that he is a peace-loving man. He understands nothing but peace. He has left power for peace. He just want peace.

Then that could be a big mistake.

 Because power is a key element of survival. Especially those who do politics.

And reputation is a thing like 

candy floss. There is this, so there is not this.

 So it is never safe to give up power in the hope of a

"ভবিষ্যতের সুনামের আশায় বর্তমানের ক্ষমতা ছেড়ে দেয়া কখনই নিরাপদ না।"

একসঙ্গে সুনাম ও ক্ষমতার ভারসাম্য রক্ষা করা খুবই কঠিন কাজ।

কেননা ক্ষমতা ধরে রাখা হলে যারা ক্ষমতা থেকে বঞ্চিত হয় ওরা ক্ষমতাশালী ব্যক্তির নামে কুৎসা রটাতে থাকে।

রাষ্ট্রক্ষমতার ব্যাপারে সেটা তো আরো জটিল। কেননা প্রত্যেক ব্যক্তি মনে করেন, রাষ্ট্র ক্ষমতায় নিজের অংশীদারিত্ব আছে।

তাই কোন দলের নেতা যদি ক্ষমতা ধরে রাখেন তখন অন্যান্য দলের নেতারা ক্ষমতা থেকে বঞ্চিত হয়ে সেই নেতার বিরুদ্ধে কুৎসা রটাতে থাকেন।

কেননা তখন রাষ্ট্রক্ষমতার বিরুদ্ধে বিরোধীদের কুৎসা রটানো ছাড়া আর কিছু করার থাকে না।

এমনকি কোন ব্যক্তি যদি উত্তরাধিকার সূত্রে প্রাপ্ত সম্পত্তি নিজের আয়ত্তে নিয়ে নেন, তখন সেই ব্যক্তির নামে অন্যান্য অংশীদাররা তিনির নামে কুৎসা রটাতে দ্বিধাবোধ করে না।

কেননা অন্যান্য অংশীদাররা মনে করে তাদেরকে উক্ত অংশীদার সুযোগ সুবিধা ভোগ করতে দেননি। যদিও এটা একটা অন্যায় আবদার।

আর রাষ্ট্রক্ষমতার ব্যাপারে বিষয়টা তো আরো জটিল। কোন ব্যক্তি অর্থাৎ কোন দল প্রধান যদি যেকোনভাবে ক্ষমতা ধরে রাখেন তখন অন্যান্যরা মনে করে তিনি জোরপূর্বকভাবে জনগণের অধিকার হরণ করে নিয়েছেন।

তখন সুনাম অর্জন করা অথবা সুনাম ধরে রাখা খুবই কঠিন হয়।

এমন পরিস্থিতিতে ক্ষমতা ছেড়ে দিয়ে সুনাম অর্জন করতে চাওয়াটা কখনোই নিরাপদ হয় না।

কেননা একবার যদি ক্ষমতা ছেড়ে দেয়া হয় তখন সুনাম থাকলেও সেটা কোন কাজে লাগে না।

এখন কেউ যদি মনে করেন, নিজের ক্ষমতা ছেড়ে দিলে দেশে-বিদেশে এই সুনাম রটবে যে তিনি একজন শান্তিপ্রিয় মানুষ। তিনি শান্তি ছাড়া কিছুই বোঝেন না। তিনি শান্তির জন্য ক্ষমতা ছেড়ে দিয়েছেন। তুমি শুধু শান্তিটা চান।

তাহলে সেটা হতে পারে অনেক বড় ভুল।

কেননা ক্ষমতা হচ্ছে অস্তিত্ব টিকিয়ে রাখার একটা প্রধান উপাদান। বিশেষ করে যিনিরা রাজনীতি করেন।

আর সুনাম হচ্ছে হাওয়াই মিষ্টির মতো একটা বিষয়। এই আছে, তো এই নাই।

তাই সুনাম নামক হাওয়াই মিষ্টির আশায় নিজের রাষ্ট্রক্ষমতা ছেড়ে দেয়া কখনই নিরাপদ না। ©️All Right Reserved by Junayed Ashrafur Rahman
