 🌟 Origin ✒ 

 In the 19th century, some criminals were organized on the island of Sicily in Italy. Their main activities were theft, robbery and extortion.

 As there were desert robbers in the Middle East, thugs in India, burghers in Bengal, Mugh robbers in Myanmar, Tong criminals in China. 

 🌟 Italy to United States ✒

 In the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, some Italian mafia sailed to the United States.

 Under the leadership of Abraham Lincoln, the United States defended the country's integrity, there was a labor movement in Chicago, and the United States was in a recession. And then agencies like CIA and FBI were not established.

 In this opportunity, the immigrant mafia became the owner of many assets by committing various crimes. Especially in cities like New York, Brooklyn, Las Vegas and Chicago.

 🌟 During World War II ✒ 

 During the Second World War, the Mafia flourished.

 At that time, Mussolini was busy uniting with Hitler and attacking the countries of North Africa.

 On this occasion the Mafia robbers spread from Sicily in Italy to Rome, Naples and other cities. Even in neighboring Spain and France, their activities increased. And started international smuggling and illegal drug trade.

 🌟 Mafia in the media ✒

 Mario Puzo founded the mafia almost exclusively in the media.

 Mafias were established through novels such as The Godfather, The Last Don, The Sicilian, and Omerta.

 And different movies were made based on them.

 This is how mafia robbers were established in the media.

 🌟 Mafia at the international level ✒ 

 At the international level, criminals from different countries use only the name Mafia. But they commit the same crime as themselves.

 American mafia, European mafia, Middle East oil smugglers are oil mafia, African mineral thieves are mineral mafia, Mumbai mafia of India, Russian mafia, Hong Kong mafia of China, Macao mafia, Shanghai mafia, Thai mafia and Bangkok mafia of Thailand, Mafia of many countries including Bangladeshi kotkoti mafia.

 Originally, thieves, robbers, touts and cheaters from different countries became known as mafia in the media since the establishment of mafia.

 🌟 Human civilization and mafia robbers ✒ 

 As long as human civilization exists, criminals of different societies will also commit crimes using different methods.

 Some will go to jail, some will die in encounters, some will be killed at the hands of opponents and some will die in self-defense at the hands of civilians.

 Some will be honest, some will not.

🌟 উৎপত্তি ✒

উনবিংশ শতকে ইটালির সিসিলি দ্বীপে কিছু অপরাধী সংঘবদ্ধ হয়েছিলো। ওদের প্রধান কাজ ছিলো চুরি, ডাকাতি, চাঁদাবাজি আর রাহাজানি।

যেমনটা ছিলো মধ্যপ্রাচ্যে মরু ডাকাত, ভারতে ঠগি, বাংলায় বর্গী, মিয়ানমারে মগ ডাকাতরা, চীনে টঙ অপরাধী। 

🌟 ইটালি থেকে যুক্তরাষ্ট্র ✒

উনিশ শতকের শেষ ও বিংশ শতকের শুরুর দিকে ইটালির কিছু মাফিয়া জাহাজে করে ইমিগ্রেশনে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে যায়।

তখন আব্রাহাম লিঙ্কনের নেতৃত্বে যুক্তরাষ্ট্র দেশের অখণ্ডতা রক্ষা করেছিলো, শিকাগোতে শ্রমিক আন্দোলন হয়েছিলো আর যুক্তরাষ্ট্রেও তখন অর্থনৈতিক মন্দা চলছিলো। আর তখন সিআইএ ও এফবিআইয়ের মতো সংস্থাও প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়নি। 

এই সুযোগে ইমিগ্র্যান্ট মাফিয়ারা বিভিন্নভাবে অপরাধ করে অনেক সম্পদের মালিক হয়েছিলো। বিশেষ করে নিউয়র্ক, ব্রুকলিন, লাস ভেগাস আর শিকাগোর মতো শহরগুলোতে।

🌟 দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের সময় ✒

দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের সময় মাফিয়াদের চরম উন্নতি ঘটে।

তখন হিটলারের সঙ্গে একাত্ম হয়ে মুসোলিনি ব্যস্ত ছিলো আফ্রিকার উত্তরাঞ্চলের দেশগুলোতে হামলা করায়।

এই সুযোগে মাফিয়া ডাকাতরা ইটালির সিসিলি থেকে রোম, নেপলস ও অন্যান্য শহরে ছড়িয়ে যায়। এমনকি পাশের দেশ স্প্যান ও ফ্রান্সেও ওদের অতৎপরতা বেড়ে যায়। আর আন্তর্জাতিক চোরা চালান ও অবৈধ মাদকের ব্যবসা শুরু করে।

🌟 মিডিয়াতে মাফিয়ারা ✒

মিডিয়াতে মাফিয়াদেরকে প্রায় এককভাবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করেছিলেন মারিয়ো পুজো।

দ্য গডফাদার, দ্য লাস্ট ডন, দ্য সিসিলিয়ান এবং ওমের্তার মতো উপন্যাসের মাধ্যমে মাফিয়াদেরকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করা হয়েছিলো। 

আর সেগুলো অবলম্বনে নির্মিত হয়েছিলো বিভিন্ন সিনেমা। 

এভাবেই মাফিয়া ডাকাতরা মিডিয়াতে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছিলো।

🌟 আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যায়ে মাফিয়া ✒

আন্তর্জাতিক পর্যায়ে বিভিন্ন দেশের অপরাধীরা শুধু মাফিয়া নামটাই ব্যবহার করে। কিন্তু নিজেদের মতোই অপরাধ করে।

আমেরিকান মাফিয়া, ইউরোপিয়ান মাফিয়া, মধ্যপ্রাচ্যের তেল চোরা কারবারিরা অয়েল মাফিয়া, আফ্রিকার খনিজ সম্পদের চোরেরা মিনারেল মাফিয়া, ভারতের মুম্বাই মাফিয়া, রাশিয়ান মাফিয়া, চীনের হংকং মাফিয়া, ম্যাকাও মাফিয়া, সাংহাই মাফিয়া, থাইল্যান্ডের থাই মাফিয়া, ব্যাঙ্কক মাফিয়া, মিয়ানমারের বার্মিজ মাফিয়া, বাংলাদেশের কটকটি মাফিয়াসহ অনেক দেশের মাফিয়া।

মূলতঃ মিডিয়াতে মাফিয়ারা প্রতিষ্ঠিত হওয়ার পর থেকেই বিভিন্ন দেশের চোর, ডাকাত, টাউট, বাটপাররাও মাফিয়া নামে পরিচিতি লাভ করে।

🌟 মানব সভ্যতা ও মাফিয়া ডাকাত ✒

মানব সভ্যতা যতদিন থাকবে, ততদিন বিভিন্ন সমাজের অপরাধীরাও বিভিন্ন পদ্ধতি অবলম্বন করে অপরাধ করবে।

কেউ জেলে যাবে, কেউ এনকাউন্টারে মরবে, কেউ প্রতিপক্ষের হাতে খুন হবে আবার সিভিলদের হাতে সেল্ফ ডিফেন্সে মরবে।

কেউ সৎ হবে, কেউ হবে না।

এভাবেই মাফিয়া নামে হউক অথবা অন্য কোন নামে , কম করে হউক অথবা বেশি করে মানব সভ্যতার সঙ্গে অপরাধীরাও থাকবে। © All Right Reserved Junayed Ashrafur Rahman
