 Corruption in the state is secret and open. But when political power is abused, corruption continues to grow.

 Again, the corrupt keep in touch with the politicians who are attracted to corruption in order to do it safely.

 Even if corrupt people are arrested or prosecuted for corruption, many corrupt people can lobby politicians to evade the law.

 As a result, corrupt politicians who are attracted to corruption can take initiative to give shelter to them by abusing their power.

 Basically this is how corruption increases through the abuse of political power.

 But politicians are also brought under the law for their involvement in corruption.

"রাজনৈতিক ক্ষমতার অপব্যবহারের কারণে দুর্নীতি বৃদ্ধি পায়।"

রাষ্ট্রে দুর্নীতি গোপনে ও প্রকাশ্যে হয়। কিন্তু যখন রাজনৈতিক ক্ষমতার অপব্যবহার হয় , তখন দুর্নীতি বাড়তে থাকে।

আবার দুর্নীতিবাজরা নিরাপদে দুর্নীতি করার জন্য দুর্নীতিতে আকৃষ্ট রাজনীতিকদের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ রাখে।

এমনকি দুর্নীতিবাজরা গ্রেফতার হলে অথবা দুর্নীতির কারণে মামলার ব্যবস্থা হলে অনেক দুর্নীতিবাজই আইনকে ফাঁকি দিতে রাজনীতিকদের সঙ্গে লবিং বা তদবির করতে পারে।

ফলে দুর্নীতিবাজদেরকে দুর্নীতিতে আকৃষ্ট রাজনীতিকরা ক্ষমতার অপব্যবহার করে আশ্রয় - প্রশ্রয় দেয়ার জন্য উদ্যোগী হতে পারেন। 

মূলতঃ এভাবেই রাজনৈতিক ক্ষমতার অপব্যবহারের মাধ্যমে দুর্নীতি বৃদ্ধি পায়।

কিন্তু দুর্নীতির সঙ্গে জড়িত থাকার কারণে রাজনীতিককেও আইনের আওতায় আনা হয়।
